Golden has a rich history and feels as though it brings that history to the present. When entering downtown, residents and visitors are met with a large, arching sign that reads: “Howdy Folks! Welcome to Golden!”. The ample western appeal draws in many residents, just as Golden attracted gold miners in the 1800s. Back then, miners stopped at Golden for it’s gold, and now travelers stop for its kind-hearted residents and small-town vibe.

A perfect place for exploration and adventure. Residents flock to Clear Creek, kayaking and tubing through the town on rushing waves. Each summer day, Golden will never lack swimmers carrying their tubes back to the top of the creek.
